Yes, but this is up to the player to look what to do with tags. The decoder
should only decode, and it is up to the player to see whether the output
is gapless or not (if it supports reading the tag you proposed). But even if
the player would support something like this, the edges still must match...
It's much more easier to use player with gapless output, instead of making
the player to look through the tags and switch on/off gapless output...
