Correction: the non-commercial use clause has been removed from the 2.6
beta releases. Binary-only still, and they've added a boilerplate
shrinkwrap license to the download page.
For those not familiar, BMRT is a (quite good) photorealistic renderer
using Pixar's renderman spec for scene/shader description. New website is
http://www.exluna.com/bmrt/
Entirely non-free, but binaries have generally been available for personal
use.
