Jack is nominally taking over build management and is in the process of moving
the build system to automake (I object to automake, but I'm not the one who's
doing the work, so...)
Jack'll probably want to know about a patch to the current build system, but
it may be becoming a moot point.

The list. Patches are hand applied in the interest of understanding the
changes and on-the-fly code review. This is mildly backed up right now with
me [allegedly] on vacation [yeah, right], but this is a slight abberation from
the norm.
