Note: just because you (and possibly others) have no reason to use the 
*-config scripts, does not mean that they are potentially useful for 
others.

I think that if even ONE person benefits from it, and it provides no 
extra overhead (or breakage) to the project, then it shouldn't be a 
problem to use.
