Hello,
the latest update in the vorbis CVS made the kmpg plugin work :-)
If you want to have an interactive commandline player (play,pause,jump,quit)
you need to download mpeglib:
http://www.rhrk.uni-kl.de/~mvogt/linux/kmpg/links.html
and then compile the vorbis plugin.
KDE 2.0 integration
-------------------
At this point we have a working demo which integrates mpeglib and vorbis
in the KDE 2.0 soundserver "arts".(only the decoder, for now)
The arts sounderserver makes it very easy for every KDE 2.0 application
to play various soundformat.(read: all KDE 2.0 applications have vorbis
support)

Real Arts integration (anyone?)
-------------------------------
Currently vorbis is "wrapped" by mpeglib, because the needed
infrastructure was already present there.
But technically it is "double" wrapped:
arts<->PlayObject<->mpeglib<->vorbis
instead of
arts<->PlayObject<->vorbis.
but it works.
