One other is building more-consistently-timing profiling binaries.
And it's good for debugging as well: shared libraries _don't_ always
load to the same address on eaach run.

That's not Russian roulette; with Russian roulette you can win, with
Linux libc (especially the glibc s**t), it's a lose-lose situation.
