Now, Frank, calm down. If you want help, please be nice,
or you won't get any.
1st thing you do wrong:
You don't compile & install Ogg first, you begin with Vorbis.
2nd thing you do wrong:
Your automake is ancient (I think so,
but I'm not an automake expert).
3rd thing you do wrong:
Building packages you're unfamiliar with at 5 o'clock in the
night often doesn't work. Try again at a civilized time ;-)
Just send us your bugreports or your requests for help, and
leave out the rhetoric. That's probably the best way to get
it to compile.
Or ask me for my static makefile, just type "make" and it
builds the vorbis example encoder/decoder.
