It might not be a bad idea to get the Vorbis codec standardized through ISO
or some standards organization.

There's a good article on Slashdot from September which explains how and why
ISO works and also goes into some details on the MPEG/MP3 standard, a pretty
good read IMHO:

It is going to be an insane amount of work, but Rome wasn't built in a day.
