Tarballs will be up soon; however, CVS through ssh is the main means of source
exchange in the project and strongly encouraged. It *s available for *NIX, Mac,
Win and several less common platforms.  If you're on something even more
different and tarballs/patches truly are the only way for you to submit, so be
it.
