Most of the code is not slow.  If you profile, however, you will see the LPC
predictor sinking about 80-90% of the total processor time.  There's no reason
it has to, I just wanted it to work before making it fast (Comes to an
incorrect answer faster than any other! :-)  Things will be quite zippy after
the next commit.
