Thanks for the info.

I just checked one of the earlier postings about the TI DSPs not having a 
64bit type.  That's unfortunate, because I had been thinking about using a 
TI DSP.

When you say that i would need a faster 32 bit DSP to compensate if there's 
no 64 bit multiplication, is that just so that i can do the multiplication 
piece-wise and combine the results in a faster time frame?
