No need to apologise. It's not your fault that the default behaviour
of some software and websites is poor. I think we needed a reminder to
nag archive.org to fix their transcoding system.
There are a number of people on this list (including myself) who can
help with preparing a good encode for wide distribution. Ideally
they'd want to start with the highest quality source material you are
able to get for them. Feel free to call for help.
