Well, the facts are that without an external patent search on Theora
we don't have green light from the WHATWG to have it again as the
baseline codec.

That said, Firefox, Opera and Konqueror will ship with Theora support.
 Safari's Theora support will rely on the XiphQT being installed.
It's just a matter of Safari inform the user that a plugin needs to be
installed.  That's four browsers.  I would say it's a very good start.

mv_embed is also doing a great job on pushing the <video> tag
mainstream.  Don't forget the <audio> one, though.  Very useful for
podcasts.
