Monty may change the way these headers work, but in any case these values are now all 'soft' in the sense that the encoder may write any values it wants and the decoder will load & use them. Which CVS do you mean?
In the theora-CVS on xiph.org there aren't any changes since 5 month !!!!
Why is the development not using this CVS?
