right --

this is generic for any VFW codec, so you should be able to find info
about it elsewhere, but for your reference -- in 2000 (NT-based systems):

LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/Drivers 32
add key string "vidc.vp31"
string value = "vp31vfw.dll"
assuming dll is in the system path (usually C:\winnt\system32)
