[Speex-dev] VAD

Does anyone know what the current state of the voice activity detector in speex is?  It looks like it was converted to just an activity detector.  Some basic searching seems to indicate that at one point it was more than that but I can not seem to find the source for the last release where it was more of a true VAD.
