[Speex-dev] AGC and Echo Cancellation Codec specifc or Generic

Hi All,

        I have some basic fundamental questions about AGC and echo
cancellation algorithms. Can they be implemented generically for all codecs
like G729 or G711 ? Speex has those functions but not sure if the same can
be applied to the 2 codecs mentioned.

Are there any resources where I can read more about AGC and echo
cancellation ?
