[paranoia] Paranoia over a network?

No , sharing /dev/cdrom only shares the content of the symbolic link,
that is "hdc" or something like that. Sharing /dev/hdc will only share
the information about the major and minor device numbers ( 22,0 ) and the
kernel will access it's own device [22:0].
Why do you wan't do to this ?
Why not just run cdparanoia on Planet and store the results on Star ( over
NFS or whatever ) ?
