[paranoia] bug: cdparanoia process with uninterruptible sleep

Hi

I am using cdparanoia to convert my CD's into ogg vorbis format,
using the frontend abcde. It works quite well, but sometimes (1 out of 3)
the cdparanoia process will hang, and Ctrl-C does not help:

# ps awx | grep cdparanoia
2723 pts/1    DN     0:08 cdparanoia -d /dev/cdrom 7 
/tmp/abcde.d40f0d10/track7.wav

If I try to restart cdparanoia it wall also hang immediately. If I reboot, it
works again. Now, I suspect the problem here lies in the Linux kernel itself,
or in one of the modules. But I thought I'd ask on this mailing list first.

I will try the latest stable/unstable version of cdparanoia later tonight and
see if it helps, and also I will try the latest Linux kernel 2.4.6.
