[paranoia] splitting sound files?

Trying to kill the keyboard, Douglas Gilbert (dgilbert at interlog.com)
produced 1,3K in 39 lines:

- Automatically generates the consecutive file names.

- needs only be called once (only one process), since it can
  pretty well read through the file and switch to a new file
  every time the maximum amount of bytes have been written.

- no need for a wrapper shell script. :-)
