hi

i have a dvd-rom toshiba (atapi),but i don't use it for ripping since i have
a scsi
teac cd-recorder which is very good for ripping and faster.anyway the
dvd-rom has a very
good ripping capabilities too (especially compared to an ordinary
cd-rom),but it's slower...

Subject: [paranoia] dvd drives & ripping quality

hi there!

are there differences in the audio ripping capability of dvd rom drives?
i'd like to have a recommendation which brand to buy (atapi ones). toshiba
cd
roms seem to have a good reputation but i'm not sure that carries over
to the dvd roms...

i'm not concerned about speed, only about good error correction since i
have some very scratched cd's!

regards,
-gerhard
