[paranoia] Lots of '-' on first track

It is not a bug. It simply means that 'cdaranoia' has to do some
jitter correction. AFAIK there is almost no CDROM for that
'cdparanoia' doesn't have to do some jitter correction. How much
of this appears depends on your cdrom, e.g. of its ability to
extract audio data without jittering.
The only draw back is, that with much jitter it will take more
time to extract audio data. If you want to do much audio ripping
and you want to buy a new cdrom anyway, you might look at some
hardware tests (cdroms) where they have tested the ability of the
drives for ripping audio data. Products differ.
