Let me be a bit preemptive here.

It hasn't happened yet, but I can see this discussion going to where I don't
believe folks will behave cooperatively with the source/spec.  If that happens,
nobody gets to do it.  Playing nicely with the people around you is a
prerequisite here, not just a pleasant surprise.
