[paranoia-dev] Bad frames or bad sectors?

I am trying to use some basic statistical techniques to identify and
correct pops/clicks/etc. in the WAVs that I rip from my old CDs. The
basic question is -- should I be trying to identify bad "frames" (where
a "frame" is two samples, left and right) or entire bad sectors?

Related to this, do tracks always start and end on sector boundaries,
implying that the WAVs produced by cdparanoia should always be some
multiple of 2352 bytes long (excluding the header)?

Thanks!
