[Icecast] Question on mp3 support

Hello there,
I am helping (or trying to help and contribute to) etn.fm .  We are trying
to use/migrate to IceS-2.0.2, but we do need mp3 support.

Are there any plans to support mp3 for IceS version 2?  If not, would it be
OK if I try to provide that, what would be logistics and the mechanics of
it?
