[Icecast] title streaming with ices

I have been using ices2 for a few years to send several streams to an Icecast 2.4.1 server (both on Linux machines). All of the streams use a playlist.
All of my streams contain Artist, Title, Album, Date/Year, and Track number when they arrive at the player as long as the file being streamed contains the information.
I have checked all of my streams with Win amp (Windows), Audacious (Windows, Linux), VLC (Linux), and XiiaLive(Android) and 'Artist', 'Title', and 'Album' are always displayed in the player.

I suspect that something else is the issue.

Ices-ne (a new ices for OS/2 / eComStation / ArcaOS and Windows) sends
metadata:
   Artist - Title - Album.
and it supports national symbols in tags.
