All very interesting Xabier, thanks for your info.

For servers and streaming I only use programs in text mode. This allows
me to use older computers and obtain acceptable performance.

Now I would like to experiment with processing the audio signal before
inserting it into the Ices2 source client, obviously in text mode :))
Good will I have, knowledge and time I lack :(
