[Icecast] iOS and authenticated streams

Jay, I have no experience in this area, but I read in
http://www.icecast.org/docs/icecast-2.3.1/icecast2_listenerauth.html
that there is no an exhaustive list of players that support listener
authentication.
Also, have you tried htpasswd authentication ?.
