reencoding from one lossy format to another lossy format can introduce
severe loss of quality. You'll have to experiment with all the 
parameters available in ogg/vorbis (sampling rate, quality, 
stereo/mono,...) and maybe try other codecs too. I don't know if there 
is broad player support for speex.
