[Icecast] icecast 2.x and ices0.x buffer issue

Why would the stream from icecast 2.x start abnormally cause players
like Windows Media player 9 or 10 to start locking up when playing a
stream for over 45 minutes. It stops playing and shows the buffer going
from say 15% to 55% back down to 20%, but if you stop the stream and hit
play again (restart the connection) - it works fine for another 30-60
minutes.
