I presume that Ross is wanting to send ogg vorbis files to icecast2 without
reencoding. This is a huge savings of processor time, and a very
reasonable thing to do...
that being said, as far as I know Ices2 does not compile under win32. I
started looking into this and didn't get too far before being distracted
with something else..The first step is to get libshout to compile under
win32 (it doesn't at the moment).
libshout SHOULD run under win32, but it just has a few platform specific
things that need to be ironed out. Once, libshout is done, then ices2 can
be ported. The only thing that might be a problem is recording from live
input. This will need a chunk of win32 specific code, but it's not
terribly complicated.
I, unfortunately, don't have the time to work on it now, but possibly in
the future....
