[icecast] restart from the beginning of the playlist

hi all-

o i finally got ices/icecast up and running on OS X 10.1.4 (sweet!), 
and now i'm trying to tie it in with a PHP front-end client that we 
built a while back to handle jukebox functionality. any thoughts on 
how can i send a SIGHUP/SIGUSR1 signal to ices from PHP? or more 
generally, how to reload the playlist and move to the next track from 
within PHP...

the client used to work with streamcast, but that doesn't seem to run 
too well on OS X. <<sigh>>
