Mountpoints are a way of serving multiple streams with the one server -
something that shoutcast can't do.  So you could have one stream on
myserver.com:8000/mystream and another on myserver.com:8000/yourstream or
whatever.

The mount point is specified by whatever program you are using to stream to
icecast (e.g. ices, shout, oddcast, etc).  You specify the mountpoint in
the streamer's configuration and the mountpoint will be created by icecast
when the streamer connects to it.
