[icecast] icecast "multicasting" ?

I've been in commercial broadcast (AM/FM stations) for years but never
had to worry about things like bandwidth or maximum number of user
connections.

I'm trying to specify an online broadcast facility for 200 listeners.
Some of these listeners will be in Europe and Australia. Icecast
appears to be a solution.

Can icecast do something which I think is called "multicasting", i.e.
can I use an icecast server to send audio streams to remote servers
which the listeners would connect to?

And if this can be done, what software does the "multicasting"?
