Hi John,
it's indeed Dave who I've contacted. He's at an MPEG meeting right now, too,
so it's good timing to ask about the MPEG version of HTTP adaptive streaming
- about IP issues and about why it's so complex etc. But the simpler m3u8
format alone would be nice to be allowed to extend.
