[Flac-users] mac os x

i can't get flac 1.0.4 to build under mac os x.2.  i followed the usual steps
mentioned in the readme but i get a 

make[2]: *** [file_decoder.lo] Error 1
make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

any ideas?  has anyone been able to build 1.0.4 under 10.2?
