Not really. FLAC compression at -5 reaches speeds of around 200x
real-time even on relatively modest hardware, especially when
looking at the minimal system requirements for Windows 10. The
encoder is only ever used for ripping, and that usually reaches
speeds of 20x. As for decoding, the difference is with 15%
really small.
But hey, people ripping CDs with WMP probably won't care to much
about it either way. The encoder is not nearly as important as
de the decoder in this implementation.
