I tend to agree with you. I don't think this Monkey fella is ever going
to do this. I think his closing comment to r3mix:

shows that he doesn't actually see a need for a Linux version and that
anyone asking for one is just being awkward :( He also seems to think that
releasing a Linux version will make MA open source, which is far from the
case.
