I confess to using a cheap journalistic trick!

The problem is, people will feel it is a trick, so it will work
against you.

I still think it's
worth asking Bowie to release some music in .ogg format - it would be
a great way to launch 1.0

It is fine to ask him, and if he does it, then you can write about
it and it won't be a trick at all.
