I didn't mean to say that any of the points I made have any merits what so
ever,
just that there may be mehtods to measure the effects claimed by the
audiophile camp
that is not invented yet.. I let them belive whatever they like and then
when it can (if)
be measured I'll see if there is merit to the claim..
And what I forgot to mention was regarding to the actual switching of the
stock
power cord to a zillion $ brand X power cord must be the biggest joke in the
history.. ;)
Lets see, say that you have atleast 25 meters of wire in your wall from your
switching bord
that is at most the quality of the stock cable and then there should be a
difference by switching
the last meter? I have a hard time believing that, and lets not forget the
thousands of meters the
current traveled from the nearest power station... *grin*
The only thing that could possibly help is regeneration of the power but any
good power supply
will make that unnessecary..
And yes.. the most damage comes from the source components... bad output
stages, noisy
power supplys, jitter aso... and the dreaded equalizer/tone control as you
actually change the
sound with those two.. ;)
