technology companies will start charging for using their newest
technologies.<BR><BR>That's when patent-free formats got its due time in the
sun.<BR><BR>( I still remember the G.729a fiasco: When the technology proves to
be useful, the patent-holders starts charging royalty, sending deployment of
G.729a crashing to the ground. )<BR><BR>In the meantime of course we must keep
Vorbis support alive. Ensuring continual development and perfection so that when
the time comes, not only will it be economically competitive, but also
