There have always been circles where hyping $OPTION is fashionable, and 
trashing $COMPETITOR likewise. Perhaps they're trying for tribal 
membership.

Otherwise, I don't really understand it either. Ogg makes some design 
choices that I understand are unique among media containers, which can 
be painful if you're the one adding support to a framework that assumes 
no one would make that choice. Some I think were just grumpy because 
they'd tried to write a media framework for the first time and 
discovered it's non-trivial. Some definitely just didn't understand the 
design. *shrug*

If you have specific technical points you'd like an opinion on, I can 
offer you my perspective.
