As far as iAudio goes you can get some of their older models
at a reasonable discount now (www.advancedmp3players.co.uk
has the 2GB U2 for £70). They're also quite responsive: they
recently fixed a bug in the U2/G3/5 support for Ogg comments.[1]
If there's a downside it's that you need Windows to do f/w
upgrades and the U2 needs an updated (official) f/w to play
Vorbis.
