Hi,

Icecast is mainly a stream relay: a client (the "source client") is
meant to send a stream to an icecast server, which in turn takes care
of streaming back to clients.. err.. listeners who request it.

The standard source client is Ices. But there are many others, some of
which are advertised on: http://www.icecast.org/3rdparty.php You
should install an Icecast server, and Ices, then tell Ices to connect
to your icecast server, then connect your media player to the icecast
server..

Hope this helps.
