The list you're reading this post on is indeed the Vorbis list.  However 
you're not reading my post or the quoted material in my post closely.

In the post you quoted neither I nor the grandparent poster 
(goemon at anime.net) were referring to this list.  The list we referred to 
was (in goemon at anime.net's words) "another list that this idiot 
[proclus at gnu-darwin.org] spammed" -- a GNU-Darwin mailing list owned by 
proclus at gnu-darwin.org.  I don't agree with goemon at anime.net; It's a 
difficult argument to make that proclus at gnu-darwin.org has "spammed" 
their own list or posted something "absolutely offtopic" nor do I think 
that the name calling is appropriate.
