What if I will still want to use separate players for audio and video files
- currently, I have no need for playlists in my video player, and when I
double-click on a video file, I want it to start playing immediately,
cancelling whatever video was playing before. When I click on an audio file,
I want the file to be put to my playlist instead, without interrupting the
song I'm currently listening to. Also, sometimes I want to listen to music,
while looking at video clips without sound - again something I need separate
players for.
Audio player is something that I perceive as running all the time in
background, which I can control with keyboard shortcuts no matter what
program I'm using right now. Video player is something I run when I want to
watch a movie, and which I close after I'm done. I doubt there will ever be
a media player that will handle playing both video and audio files better
than 2 separate programs.
