Unfortunately, this requires a bunch of code to be written for each platform
before the basic problem of video files being associated with the video
playing app of preference is solved. Where as having the theora encoder
produce files with an extension like .ogv may be a little kludgey and perhaps
asthetically displeasing for some, but it does solve the immediate problem
right now.
