The audio on most laptops is truly awful, I use a headphone set with built-in
volume control just to attenuate those noises. Just moving the mouse
generates static, on this Acer. :^(

Sounds like a good idea, I did not actually use them, but understand that the
Roland ones, for example, are quite good.
