[vorbis] [OT] Removing noise from a room, during night :-)

I live near a pub, so I must find a way to remove the noise that escapes 
from it during night.
I thought I could remove the noise with a speaker and a mic, using sound 
cancellation.
Does anyone know how to find help?
I think it shouldn't be difficult (everything analogic: a directional mic 
put behind the speaker enough to have the final sound in fase opposition). 
I don't care removing the sound from the whole room, my bed (my ears) is 
enough.

Do you think it is possible? any links?
