[vorbis] Using Ogg for non broadcast http streaming from a web site

Hi,
I was very impressed with the progress that V1 made to 32kbps mono
quality for streaming to modem clients, so I've decided to ditch my
current dual use of WMA V8 and MP3Pro on my web site in favor of Ogg
and open standards.
I want to make it as painless as possible for people to hear the Ogg
audio samples on my site, after bit of experimenting using .m3u
redirector files and Winamp as the player seems the best way to
achieve that.
Anyone know how this would affect non Win Operating Systems? (how well
is Ogg supported on other OS's?)
Are there any other main stream players capable of playing .m3u files
that point to Ogg files?
If people who have gone there before can provide ideas on how to make
it easier for people and avoid confusion for MS MediaPlayer (Grrrr)
users, I'd appreciate it.
